An idealist wanting to join the CPC

JAMES EARL SALISBURY, an American teaching English in Shenzhen, is applying for membership of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

He plans to hold a press conference to formally announce his application. He is a multi-degree holder and a devout father of eight.

He holds a B.A. degree in music and a master degree in counseling education and consulting psychology as well as a doctorate degree in spiritual counseling obtained in the United States.

A registered psychologist in Hong Kong and author of many books on psychology and education, Salisbury now teaches English at a college.

“If you think life is boring, that’s because you are bored,” he tells his students.

Among his eight children, whose ages range from 5 to 18, three are triplets and four are Chinese-American.

“I believe children are the most beautiful things in the world and I am happy to have created eight of them myself, “ he said.

Coming from a strong Republican family in Idaho, Salisbury now expects to join the Communist Party of China which he thinks is “very open-minded and wise.”
